TDS Combines: Super Y RSS Region I Girls XI
The TDS Combine series headed to New Jersey in August. Mercer County Park was the home for the weekend of August 14-16 where players showcased their skills in hopes of leaving a good impression on college coaches and developing before the next level.
The elite, unique recruiting event was a perfect showcase to a number of overlooked prospects in the area. The college coaches left the event impressed with the level for the group. If you’re interested in attending a TDS Combine, learn more about them and sign up for one later this year.
Here are the girls best XI from TDS Combine at Mercer County Park in New Jersey:
GK, Stephanie Sparkowski - A great communicator and organizer, Sparkowski showed her athleticism and quick reaction time consistently throughout the weekend. Her ability to cover the goal and keep her back line in order make her a standout goalkeeper from this weekend.
DF, Aileen Guthrie - A composed defender with great tracking and marking abilities allowed Guthrie to earn a spot on the squad. Her cool and collected attitude give her a great vision of the game and helped her to connect passes farther up the field. Decision making is definitely her strong suit as she knows when to step and when to drop, keeping the defenders around her relaxed.
DF, Emma Beattie - A strong presence in the back that is willing to sacrifice her body to win any tackle. She is a great ball winner with a smart head while communicating to the rest of her back line. Beattie possesses a great attitude and will to win making her an exceptional player.
DF, Hannah Panagos - Strong in the air and tough on the ground, Panagos is a gritty defender that doesn't like to back down from any challenges. She has a toughness about her that will give her a step up at the next level.
DF, Sydney Urban - Another defender that is composed in the back and has a vision to connect the next pass make her a valuable player to anchor the back line. Her ability to win balls both in the air and in tackles showed her great 1v1 defensive skills over the weekend. She worked well in combining with her midfielders and stayed connected with her back line.
MF, Keira Shoup - Showed her impact as a simple player that helped to keep the speed of play moving. Her simplicity and decision making on the ball as well as her vision of the game showcased her as a valuable member of the midfield for any team.
MF, Shannon Seymour - A very technical player who can run 18 to 18 is something every coach hopes to have in their midfield. She could take on players to keep possession or connect a forward on a through ball with her outstanding vision of the game. She thinks a couple steps ahead, making her a deification matchup to defend.
MF, Olivia Paolucci - Another talent in the midfield with a great ball-winning ability put her in the squad. She could dance on the ball and keep it even while she was under great pressure. Paolucci was comfortable and composed on the ball as she buzzed around the field in support of the players around her keeping her connected in the game.
MF, Madison Shepherd - Also a good connector in the midfield as she would link up with players around her to keep the ball moving and find open space for her teammates. She got stuck into tough tackles giving her a great ball-winning edge.
FW, Brianna Jablonowski - Direct and quick off the dribble, this forward could create chances left and right. She stayed involved in the game and made runs behind defenders that allowed her to get to goal. With great finishing qualities, Jablonowski earned a spot on the squad.
FW, Leanna Choo - A sophisticated finisher with the ability to put the ball in the back of the net on difficult opportunities make Choo a must-have. She is crafty and creative under pressure and difficult to defend as she stayed involved and moved throughout the final third. She showed great qualities of a finisher.
